Importance of Consistency in Life

In my opinion, Consistency is the real way to achieve anything in life. But previously when I used to wait for the perfect or actual time to start something such as studying, working or even start a small business, that time I thought motivation is the main key. But slowly I realized that temporary motivation or fake motivation doesn’t play a crucial role and doesn’t stay life time but consistency or discipline stay forever.

Nature of Motivation

Motivation is like a one time boost of enthusiasm and it gives you positive any great energy for a particular moment, but it fades. Sometimes you can get motivation by watching some online videos or reels or reading someone’s biography.

Motivation depends on our mood. When we feel good, we feel motivated and vice versa.

First of all, I want to write one thing that consistency is not for everyone but you can build it by changing your daily habits, it’s not about doing something or achieve something in one day or overnight , it’s about doing small things every single day it builds good habits and you will become a disciplined person.
If you read English newspaper every single day only for 30 minutes , you will get more knowledge than someone who works for 12 hours once a week.
Consistency builds habits and habits build achievement. It also gives discipline mindset if your mood is not good but you can do that thing so you can achieve anything and that’s called consistency.

Consistency or Motivation ?

Real Life Examples

1. Gym:

I would like to share that I am a gym person who loves to go to the gym daily and have never skipped a day till date.

I have notices that a lot, many people have a very high motivation level when they first join a gym but after few days, they are no longer seen at the gym. That’s when i realized motivation got them inside the gym but long term discipline or consistency kept them going.

2. Study:

I want to share that i am a technical student so, when I started learning to code honestly I was scared. That time I didn’t know how to build logic properly. Every single day terminal was filled with compilation errors and warnings, and sometime I even forgot small things like putting a semicolon or closing a parenthesis.
It was so frustrating seeing so many red lines made me feel I wasn’t meant for coding. But deep inside from my heart i decided one thing that I won’t give up.
Whether the program was easy or hard I kept writing code, I kept trying again and again.
Earlier I used to get stressed just by looking at a complex program problem. But now those same codes I can write and run successfully within minutes, without any logical and syntax errors.
All this happened because I stayed consistent. I still mistakes sometimes but I don’t stop. I know one day I’ll easily overcome all those errors too.
If you stay disciplined and consistent you can achieve anything in life no matter how tough it looks in the beginning.

How to Build Consistency ?

  • Start with small daily habits.
  • Make a simple daily routine.
  • Forgive yourself if you miss a task but start again later the same task.
  • Focus on the skills, not on quick results.

Benefits of Being Consistent

  • It builds confidence.
  • Improves your core discipline mindset.
  • It helps to achieve long term goals what you want to get.
  • It creates inner peace and patience.

When you are consistent, you will see all the positive results yourself and others will praise you.

I have gained knowledge from my own life experiences, from which motivation or one time energy is temporary, Consistency is permanent. If you wait for perfect time or mood to start any task in your life, you’ll have to spend your whole life trying.
